Jungle Love

Updated: Nov 15, 2022

It is doubtful that you will ever see a tiger and a cow holding tails, gazing into each other's eyes, and walking happily through the jungle. Animal nature is very specific to species. However, in human nature, you will see a tiger and a cow holding tails, gazing into each other's eyes, and happily walking through the concrete jungle all day long for about three months. Then the animal nature kicks in, and they realize they are incompatible.

Monogamy and commitment have deteriorated in human nature, particularly in the West. We are not as definitive about who we date. We fall for the sparks, cover up the illusion, and walk around all starry-eyed until the partnership becomes too much to bear. At this point, we bail and set out looking for greener grass on the other side in a jungle of animals.

According to Vedic astrology, every Nakshatra (Moon Mansion) has a ruling animal that describes its personality traits and sexual nature. Your Moons Nakshatra determined your animal/human nature at birth. Each Nakshatra has different attributes, and the Moon behaves differently in the 27 lunar mansions. These energies directly influence your subconscious, emotions, intuition, astral body, etc. Vedic astrology describes this animal nature as yonis.

'Yoni' is a word with many meanings. It does not just mean the uterus and the female reproductive organs.' Yoni means the origin, how things have evolved, and the gradual lowering of energy from the highest source. Yoni means, more correctly, the power of creation and, more specifically, Shakti, the primordial cosmic energy. Everything in creation is animated by a form of Shakti. Even at birth, the cosmos imprinted on your essence a combination of many forms of Shakti.

In India where most marriages are arranged, the Kuta System of Vedic astrology uses yonis for matchmaking in marriage. While the animal yoni describes your sexual expression, this is only one part of the entire chart. The entire chart must be fully examined to get a complete relationship analysis.

The Nakshatra's animals come in pairs of male and female. Some animals are more compatible than others, and in the case of human nature, species, class, or gender is irrelevant. It is characterized by an opposite and balancing nature. The Nakshatras are divided into active and passive traits representing masculine and feminine energetic qualities. Fourteen are active, like doing things, more adaptable, and changeable. And thirteen are passive, take the broader perspective, can sacrifice themselves for a cause etc. And one Nakshatra has no opposite at all.

Knowing your animal nature and what you want from a partner is the first step in choosing the right partner.
