"Believe nothing you read, see, or hear unless it feels right,

and rings true within your soul.”

The New Moon on February 20 @ 2:06 am (EST) will be in Nakshatra Shatabhisha and the zodiac sign of Aquarius. Ruled by Rahu, Saturn, and Varuna, "The God of the Celestial Ocean."

Shatabhisha's meaning is "The Hundred Stars," translated into the hundred healers. Healers include physicians, mystics, psychics, shamans, and herbalists, to name a few. The stars are the silent watchers of the play of life and the transmigration of the soul to move to the next life. Shattabhisha's symbol is a never-ending circle, representing the continuous cycles of birth and death or protection within a circle from an outside source.

While preparing for this New Moon, a song lyric looped within my mind.

"tossed about, I am like a ship on the ocean"

As I continued hearing the lyric repeatedly, I recognized the song and the poignant reason why the Divine chose this song for this New Moon.

Leading up to the New Moon, the Moon will be conjunct, hemmed, and swallowed up by malefics Sun and Saturn, tossing your mind and emotions upon the choppy waters of darkness. Varuna, the presiding deity of Shatabhisha, rules the celestial oceans of the mind and consciousness. They induce healing by activating choppy waters for the soul to navigate purely for shaking loose and transforming the thoughts held in mind.

For centuries sea men/women used the stars as their lights for navigation. So too, must you use the light of your awareness to navigate the choppy waters of this New Moon.

Those with prominent planets in or aspected by Shatabhisa encounter choppy energy daily, trying to hide the darkness and demons from themselves and others, creating illusions that they don't exist.

"Masquerading as a man/woman with a reason,

their charade is the event of the season

And if they claim to be a wise man/woman,

it surely means they do not know"

This energy is asking you to let go of what you thought was the way and venture into the wayward way and confront the illusions of your demons and darkness.

The word wayward is often described as someone unpredictable, difficult to manage, unruly, rebellious, and following their own path. The illusion loves when you follow its rules. It controls you, manages you, and predicts your every move to keep you stuck in the illusion.

The wayward way is the only way. Only by becoming unpredictable, unmanageable, unruly, rebellious, and following your path can you break free from the illusion that control your life. Mental tensions during this New Moon are being created by Mercury square Uranus and trine Mars which could require split-second decisions on which path to follow.

To navigate this New Moon and Shatabhisha energy, "rise above the noise and the confusion and get a glimpse beyond the illusion," just a glimpse can dissolve the illusion that the darkness and demons only exist for you. A revelation that they are left over from previous lifetimes, circling back around, anxious to be healed.

Jupiter, Venus, and Neptune are in watery, mystical Pisces during our New Moon. This combination can expand your consciousness to a state of liberation or drive you deeper into the illusion, blurring the lines between real and unreal. Pisces is the original 12th house symbolizing hospitals, asylums, loss and ashrams, religious centers, and liberation. There's a fragile line between a saint and a madman. Knowing this line can support you in confronting the demons and darkness with the light of your awareness.

It takes a journey of many lifetimes to clear the choppy waters of past actions and held beliefs to reach final liberation, but every glimpse and step forward brings you closer to peace.

Carry on, you will always remember

Carry on, nothing equals the splendor

Now your life no longer empty

Surely heaven waits for you

If you have yet to figure out the song or are unfamiliar with the artist, it's the legendary band "Kansas." "Carry on Wayward Son" was released on their album entitled "Leftoverture," which means the song was leftover from the previous album. And, like our leftover demons and darkness from previous lifetimes, they are carried over until heard and healed. So look to the stars of the one hundred healers and allow them to support you on your wayward way.

Carry on my wayward son/daughter

There'll be peace when you are done

Lay your weary head to rest

Don't you cry no more
